Description

One of nine slave cabins located near Old Mansion as part of the Jacobs farm purchased by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists for the location of the Huntsville School.

At the founding of Oakwood Industrial School, there were nine slave cabins, which served as housing for the first eight male students. These slave cabins symbolized the providential way God used these humble dwellings for the education of students for service.
